CHAPTER EIGHT

I’ve tried my best to keep everything together while you’ve been locked up, despite the fact that I have barely been able to hold myself together. I know that what you did, you did out of love for our son. But what you did was wrong and has caused further irreversible damage to our family. Not only was his innocence taken by a monster, but his father was taken from him by that same monster. He’s constantly bullied at school. The kids call him all sorts of nasty names. They tease him about the horrific trauma he was forced to go through. We all know children can be cruel, but that is beyond fucked. Maybe that’s why he tried to kill himself last week. Imagine going to school every day when all the other students know what happened to you. I can see why he might have felt like it was his only option. But you didn’t know that had happened, did you? Because once again I haven’t gotten phone calls or letters from you. Are you in disciplinary confinement again? And if not, why are you avoiding me? Do you have a side chick? I’m starting to think you might be looking for another young, gullible girl dumb enough to believe what you tell her. When I came to visit you that day, they turned me away because you were in segregation. The officer that gave me the bad news also told me you guys have been known to do that when you’re locked up. Play the field with young women with low self-esteem. Is that it? You have your wife at home, holding it down, and a little side bitch that talks dirty to you? Sends you nasty letters and naughty pictures? That’s cheating, too, you asshole. It’s called emotional cheating. You don’t have to stick your little pecker in someone to cheat. You men and your games, you try to play us like chessboards, and now the more I think about it, the more I believe you’ve got another woman lined up to give you some ass on the side when you get out, because nothing else about your behavior makes sense to me.

So, what’s new with your wife and son? Well, for starters I can’t even afford the rent anymore now that the savings is dried up. Mr. Vega told me he wouldn’t start the eviction process, and I could pay the back rent, along with next month’s rent, if I sucked his cock. I told him he can suck MY cock and go ahead and start the process. There’s no need for that though, because I won’t be here by the time it goes to court, and neither will your son. We’re leaving. We’re going to find a place somewhere far away and get a fresh start.
